Tan Yew Chong is a public policy leader and adviser to the Minister of Plantation and Commodities, Malaysia. He previously served as Secretary-General of the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities and the Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources, contributing over 28 years to sustainability, resource governance, and economic transformation. He holds a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, an MBA from Universiti Putra Malaysia, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Monash University Australia. He was an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at Monash University (2016–2019) and is currently an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and an Honorary Professor at Nanjing Forestry University, China.
