Stefan Bächtold is a Lecturer at Monash University Malaysia whose work explores the impact of digital technologies on society, political and armed conflict, and technologies’ interactions with civil society and government. Combining practical experience in international development and peacebuilding with critical academic research, he has undertaken research, advisory, and policy projects for the United Nations, NGOs, and governments across Southeast Asia, Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
