Mohd Azri Bin Mohd Suan is the Head of the Clinical Research Centre at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah. He brings extensive experience in clinical trials, particularly in gastroenterology, hepatology, and public health. He led the Hepar-P trial, resulting in Malaysia’s first ‘Natural Product with Modern Claim’. As co-investigator, his work on the Storm-C1 and EASE trials contributed to major advances in Hepatitis C treatment and WHO endorsement. He initiated the Kedah Hep-C prison project, screening over 18,000 inmates and curing more than 500. His current work includes the Ledang trial on lung cancer immunotherapy. He advocates for strong multi-agency and industry collaboration in patient-focused research.
