Mahendhiran Sanggaran Nair is an econometrician and data scientist whose work focuses on sustainable development, planetary health, and science and technology policy. He is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research and Sustainability) at Sunway University. He holds a PhD in Economics, MA in Economics, MA in Statistics, and a BSc (Honours) in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia and the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. He developed the 10-10 MySTIE framework for Malaysia’s 12th Plan and advocates for Return on Values (ROV). He serves on the National Science Council, High-Tech Council, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, and co-chairs the National Planetary Health Action Plan.
