Duncan McDuie-Ra is a Professor and Head of the School of Arts and Social Sciences at Monash University Malaysia. He is the author of nine books, including Insurgent Play (Anthem, 2025) and Borderland City in New India (Amsterdam University Press, 2016). He has published over 70 journal articles and book chapters. He is a member of the Australian Research Council’s College of Experts (2023–2026) and is currently part of the ‘Climate and Contemporary Transformations of Vernacular Architecture’ project, funded by the European Research Council (2024–2028).
